I live on a ridge that runs up against the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Early each morning I awake to the company of small plump rabbits feasting on the greenery in my yard and making off with most of my prettiest blossoms. It is the price I pay for the pleasure of their company. We have reached a comfort with each other here at Rabbit Ridge and I dare say that when I wish them a ‘Good Morning!’ each day, they often respond with a friendly wave of one of those big ears, and in the winter, their tracks in our Colorado powder snow create patterns as artistic as anything from the grand masters. Since my youth, I have dabbled in the arts and take my inspiration from both the things that I see around me, and the visions created by the prose and poetry on the printed page. I began my art journey with watercolor (finished and highlighted with pen and ink), but have since moved on to markers and ink for the most recent series. Each new marker series is more vibrant and exciting.

Rabbit Ridge Art has now, however, evolved into a full service original art website that continues to focus on art inspired by the writings of J.R.R.Tolkien, with some other less mythical projects thrown into the mix. We offer a stunning variety of Tolkien inspired prints. Each print is created using the Giclee process to create a virtually indistinguishable replica of the original work of art. Each piece is reproduced on the finest quality Epson Somerset Velvet 255 gsm paper to give each individual print the look and feel of the original watercolor artwork.

Vibrant calendars and are now included in our offerings, destined to become collectors’ items as time goes on. 2009 and 2010 calendars are still available for collectors. There was no calendar done for 2001 ... but ... per your requests, there is a new brilliant Hobbit calendar coming for 2012.
